COE Students Gain Valuable Industry Experience Through 2017 Internships
As part of their 2017 Center of Excellence Scholarship Program experience, students participate in internships at MPC member companies to give them valuable exposure to working in the poultry industry. A total of 32 industry internships were awarded and serve as integral components of the COE program, allowing students to take the knowledge they learned in the classroom and apply it to real-world experiences. The upswing in cage-free housing is a response to consumer demand for eggs from birds raised in a more natural environment, which enables behaviors such as perching, taking short flights, dust bathing, and wing flapping, said Danielle Botting, DVM, MPH, Hy-Line North America. Click
